The main dangers of asphalt tests are burns and smoke. For asphalt-related tests, if the temperature is relatively high, it is recommended to wear double gloves, with a thick layer of heat-insulating gloves on the outside and a layer of wire gloves on the inside. The smoke volume of conventional asphalt and asphalt mixtures can basically be handled by ordinary masks. When performing extraction tests, try to use a gas mask, as trichloroethylene is highly toxic.

In the asphalt experiment, special attention should be paid to the cleaning of molds and equipment after the experiment. Our laboratory mainly studies the modification and anti-aging of asphalt, and does not make too many mixtures. After the four major performance tests of asphalt are completed, the test mold is generally boiled with hot diesel, and the residual asphalt on the mold is cleaned by the mutual dissolution of organic matter. Therefore, you must pay attention to fire prevention during the cleaning process! ! (Because open flame heating is too dangerous, our research group uses an induction cooker, but the container must be closed during the heating process to reduce the area of ​​contact with the air)
